Commercial Projects

Our most recent project was that of a large scale commercial development. This included very intricate and complex requirements which we worked closely with each supporting team on to ensure a seamless operation.

Project:

Walthamstow Stadium Car Park, 300 Chingford Road, E4.

Detail:

This was a parcel of land which was originally part of the car park of the famous Walthamstow Stadium. We were overseeing its conversion into a new bus depot. This was a very complex project as the area was high flood risk, therefore it had a complete new large scale drainage system which catered for heavy attenuation tank with a capacity for 80,000 litres, and was 2M diameter and 20M in length. There were two further smaller tanks and a bypass separator to protect in case of an oil leak from the buses. The ground had to be lowered and there was around 300 lorries each carrying 20 tonnes to accommodate the removal of soil to achieve this level. Once the groundworks and drainage were completed it was finished with a huge surface concrete pour. We also had to complete commercial electrics which accommodated our installation of 19, 12M lampposts and future security system. The project was completed on time despite challenges along the way and demonstrated another effective skillset along with our previous projects.
